Hi Dear Community Members.<\/p>We want to bring a valid URL to a custom field in qTest Defect and Requirement in a below-described manner\u00a0 :<\/p>
For example, we have a link named -\u00a0https:\/\/support-hub.tricentis.com\/\u00a0<\/em>and want to bring to the qTest field as below, a text as a hyperlink, and that hyperlink is pointing\/allowing us to navigate to a valid URL:<\/p>
qTest Support URL<\/a><\/p>
So in the above example, my text is qTest Support URL which is actually a hyperlink to a valid URL.<\/p>
We want to bring this behavior into the qTest custom field. We are writing\/updating this field value using qTest REST API.<\/p>
Note:\u00a0<\/strong>We are not planning to use the Rich Text\/HTML field as the custom field would have only this value so Rich Text is not preferred as the best option. Already checked this part and works fine.<\/p>
Please share your inputs\/suggestions for above use-case.<\/p>

I think this depends on so many factors with both the individual and company. Some things to consider\u00a0 for this:<\/p>
- The tester\u2019s background & existing skillset<\/li>\t
- The tester\u2019s current and future position and skillset wishes<\/li>\t
- The company size & setup (a one-person startup or a place with established, existing devops teams)<\/li>\t
- The company future setup wishes<\/li>\t
- Methodologies and working practices used (agile\u00a0in which everyone should do every role, or where high experience & knowledge is more hightly valued for each specific position)\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>
I don\u2019t know if there is a one-size-fits-all answer here. Hi,<\/p>in our company, all services can be accessed through proxy servers which are being accessed through a specific\u00a0proxy configuration URL<\/strong>.<\/p>
I got the information from Tricentis that the proxy settings should be taken over by the \"Launcher\", but obviously that's not the case in our environment. When running the Launcher, it tries to download TBox, but after some time it tells me that the download has failed.<\/p>
When switching off the proxy, and when connecting directly to the Internet, everything works as expected - everything is being downloaded as it should.<\/p>
But: We want to automate web frontends which can only be accessed through our company proxy configuration URL, and when turning it back on, the Launcher throws the error mentioned above.<\/p>
Does anyone have the same or similar issue in your company environment?<\/p>

in our company, all services can be accessed through proxy servers which are being accessed through a specific\u00a0proxy configuration URL<\/strong>.<\/p>
I got the information from Tricentis that the proxy settings should be taken over by the \"Launcher\", but obviously that's not the case in our environment. When running the Launcher, it tries to download TBox, but after some time it tells me that the download has failed.<\/p>
When switching off the proxy, and when connecting directly to the Internet, everything works as expected - everything is being downloaded as it should.<\/p>
But: We want to automate web frontends which can only be accessed through our company proxy configuration URL, and when turning it back on, the Launcher throws the error mentioned above.<\/p>
Does anyone have the same or similar issue in your company environment?<\/p>

Hi All,<\/p>what is the best practice on how to work together in reusable test step blocks?<\/p>
We now have a library but in order to change a block that's inside the library the user has to check out the complete library.
Other users are now locked out of working with the other blocks.<\/p>Do people create multiple libraries? Or is there a trick to only get the block you want to edit checked out?

And for all of these different Libraries have\u00a0one responsible<\/strong>\u00a0person and\u00a0one deputy<\/strong>\u00a0each, that is in charge of changing any content of those Libs\/RTSBs. So any change on them has to go through those person.<\/p>\t
By the way: you're not able to checkout just TestSteps as you mentioned above. TestCases are the smallest item to be checked out.<\/p>\t
