I just tried a quick example of {MOUSEOVER} with TBox, Tosca 8.2.0 and it seemed to work fine.<\/p>

Using XScan I create a module with the \"Apps\" link on the Google homepage (the little image of 9 boxes between \"Images\" and \"Sign In\" near the top right of the page).<\/p>

Using this in a test step, {MOUSEOVER} brings up the popup\/tooltip text. {CLICK} brings up the submenu of apps. This matches the behaviours of the control when I manually mouseover or click it.<\/p>

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding your particular scenarios or there is something else going on in your web page that affects the behaviour when Tosca tries to steer the control, but at least for simple usage it seems to do what it supposed to.<\/p>","className":"post__content__best_answer"}">

I don't know whether you are still looking for an answer, but here is how I would do it, if faced with the same problem that you experiencing.<\/p>

I totally agree with what Brendon Russell & Thomas Stocker are saying. There have been lot of additions to TBox lately making it very powerful that even if the {MOUSEOVER} didn't work in the older version, must work now in the newer versions of TOSCA. If you are getting any error messages, please post it here and someone would be able to work.<\/p>

Classical Engine:<\/p>

The behavior you told could be replicated very easily (without having to write customs Keywords). However, this is only a workaround which achieves the desired result. Please capture the element over which you would have to mouse over using TOSCA Wizard. In all probability it would be a HTMLLink. In the test step, give the value for this element as {RIGHTCLICK}. In 90% of the cases the mouse pointer would move over to the link and you would be able to see the action happen as if you have mouse over-ed the control. If it does not work try changing the DOMClick option. This is how I have automated mouse over controls in all my portal tests. I have been doing it this way since TOSCA Test suite version 7.2.2.<\/p>
